Our Vision
To have a viable soccer operation that has been a staple of Akron’s sports landscape for generations. First and foremost, this will be accomplished by running a sustainable business operation. We plan to grow slowly, allowing us to focus on developing a supporter culture and fan base unique to our region. We will take pride in providing local players and coaches with a professionally run organization to elevate their skills to further their careers at a higher level.
USL League Two is the leader in pre-professional soccer in North America. The League holds a vital role as it continues to provide the elite platform for those pursuing professional careers domestically and internationally. Throughout North America, League Two franchises continue to provide top pre-professional players the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. With ownership of teams coming from the likes of USL franchises as well as leading business and sports individuals, League Two serves as the leading development platform for the game both on and off the field.
League Two is more than the leading national pre-professional league. League Two is the defined and proven pathway for players to progress to the ranks of professional soccer, while its clubs become fixtures in the communities where they operate.

Andy Hoggarth, Head Coach, Soccer Operations
Andy Hoggarth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sports studies from Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England in 2003. He later earned his Master's Degree in education, with a focus in health and physical education, from Shenandoah University in 2010. He has also obtained his National Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, Premier Diploma, and English Football Association Prelim License from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Additionally, Andy is currently the Head Coach of Walsh University's Men's program.

Akron City FC has created a unique leadership model built for maximum success. The group consists of local business leaders and owners who have had success in the sports business world (combined 20+ years of experience) and soccer operations (over 50+ years of experience).
The organization also boasts owners and advisors with significant start-up experience in many business sectors, including media, restaurant/hospitality, insurance, sports, technology, financial services, real estate, and healthcare. The combination of business, soccer, and operations talent will ensure the club is run sustainably so that it remains a part of Akron for decades to come.
