Akron City FC Partners with Hoppin' Frog Brewery for Inaugural Season Beer Collaboration
Akron City FC joins forces with globally recognized and award-winning local brewery to create a team branded beer in the iconic Turbo Shandy product line.

Akron, Ohio - Akron City Football Club (ACFC) is proud to announce a delicious partnership with Hoppin' Frog Brewery for its 2022 Inaugural Season. Hoppin' Frog will be creating ACFC's "Kickin' Blackberry Turbo Shandy" to celebrate the return of high-level men's soccer to Akron. This new brew will be produced in 16oz cans and is expected to be available for purchase at select retail locations and at Hoppin' Frog Brewery's tasting room in late April/early May. Great beer and great soccer are a part of the supporter's culture of the beautiful game, so it's only appropriate that Kickin' will also be sold at Ray's Pub, the team's official Pre-Game Party location. This will be THE PLACE for fans to meet and enjoy their Kickin' Blackberry Turbo Shandy before making the one-mile march down Market Street to ACFC home games at St. Vincent-St. Mary. Team officials are also in advanced stages of securing rights to sell beer in the stadium at all ACFC home games!

Akron City FC was announced as the newest expansion team in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) on September 16, 2021. Their addition fills a long-standing gap within the league’s footprint as well as in the Akron sports market. According to Dina Case, NPSL Director of Membership Development, “Akron is an exciting market, which we have earmarked for years as an ideal expansion location.” ACFC’s inaugural season kicks off in May 2022.
