Akron City FC extends partnership with globally recognized and award-winning local brewery to recreate the team's branded beer in the iconic Turbo Shandy

Akron, Ohio - Akron City Football Club (ACFC) is proud to announce an extension of our partnership with Hoppin' Frog Brewery for the 2023 season. Hoppin' Frog will once again be creating ACFC's "Kickin' Blackberry Turbo Shandy" to celebrate high-level men's soccer in Akron. Kickin’ Blackberry Turbo Shandy is produced in 16oz cans and will be available for purchase at select retail locations and at Hoppin' Frog Brewery's tasting room beginning May 2nd. The team has also confirmed that Kickin’ Blackberry Turbo Shandy and Smashing Honey Blonde beers will once again be sold at all ACFC home games. Beer + Soccer + Summer = Fun! Team officials will seek a fan vote for a third style of beer to be sold and stay tuned for a cool promotion that will allow you to take Hoppin’ Frog home with you from game nights!
Hoppin' Frog (1680 East Waterloo Rd., Akron, Ohio 44306) is an artisanal brewery making very flavorful beers in the most flavorful styles. Established in 2006 and brewing with an uncompromising and relentless focus on detail from the ingredient selection to the brewing process, the brewery has become known for quality around the world, and distributes in 18 states and 42 foreign countries. Akron City FC is a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the only league designated by the USASA as a Tier 1 national league. The team will kick off its second season this May with home games being played on the campus of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. The schedule is expected to be released in late February or early May. The team’s inaugural 2022 campaign proved to be a smash hit with the community as 19 companies joined as Founding Partners. The foundation of a passionate fan base was also created, which included more than doubling the NPSL’s average attendance figures.
